Aleksander received his BA in Sociology from Kemerovo State University and an MA in Sociology from Far Eastern Technical State University. In 2014, he had to move to the USA and asked a political asylum as LBGTQI activist. Now he continues his intersex studies and advocacy work. During 2015-2017 years he had been invited as a Russian-Speaking Intersex consultant for collaborating with the UN program “Free and Equal,” IREX Europe, Program of Public Health at the Open Society Foundation. He was granted asylum in the U.S. in September 2017.
