What We Do

The Intersex Immigrants Network has 3 programs for intersex immigrants and those intersex people who have a significant risk of forced migration from their native countries to safe places, also for their family members, supporters and professionals who work with intersex people.


Advocacy

Advocacy for human and civil rights and social justice for immigrant intersex people and their families in the USA.

Promote accurate and fact-based information on intersex issues to the public.

Provide Letters of support for intersex asylum seekers in the USA

Advocate at the city, state and federal level for increased resources, services and legislative protections for intersex immigrants and intersex people.  


Community-Based Research

Community-based research about intersex issues addressing different social, medical and other aspects of intersex immigrants, their families in the USA, and internationally.

The Intersex Immigrants Network will conduct a series of workshops for intersex immigrants, their families, and professionals who work with intersex people in NYC


Community Organizing

The Intersex Immigrants Network will encourage intersex people, including intersex immigrants and their family members working together to address issues that affect their daily lives and build community power.

We will hold monthly community meetings, support groups for intersex people, including intersex immigrants and their family members.

Promote online community resource platform

Establishing solidarity with other intersex and LGBTQ, and Immigrants organizations in NYC, the USA and internationally.
